The Yamaha Champ was a quick, nimble handling machine due to it's staggered tire sizes with an 8" wheel in the front and a 10" wheel in the rear. With 5.2ps (4kw) being delivered to the rear wheel from the 49cc powerplant, the Champ was one of the fastest accelerating scooters of it's time.
